How much does a dental implant cost in 2026: what is included and what to ask before you choose

"Implants from X lei" tells you almost nothing. A surgeon explains what the real price is made of, with examples calculated from our official price list.

The question I get most often on the phone is short: "How much is an implant?" The honest answer is "it depends", but that helps nobody. So below are our real prices, how they add up to a complete treatment, and what to check when comparing offers.

Why "implants from X lei" is not the full price

The implant itself is just the titanium screw placed in the bone. For the patient to have a tooth, you also need a component that shapes the gum and the crown on top. Some offers show only the screw price, others the full package — which is why two "from" prices cannot be compared directly.

What an implant is made of

  • Consultation and treatment plan: free.
  • Panoramic X-ray: 200 MDL.
  • Placement of an AnyOne G-Diff implant (MegaGen, South Korea), conical connection: 5,000 MDL.
  • Healing abutment (shapes the gum around the future crown): 500 MDL.
  • Crown on the implant: 3,000 MDL (metal-ceramic) or 4,000 MDL (zirconia or ceramic on zirconia).

Worked example: one missing tooth

For one missing tooth with enough bone, a typical calculation looks like this: X-ray 200 + implant 5,000 + healing abutment 500 + zirconia crown 4,000 = 9,700 MDL. With a metal-ceramic crown: 8,700 MDL. You get the exact amount for your case in a written plan after the consultation and X-ray — before anything starts.

What can raise the price

  • Not enough bone in the upper jaw under the sinus — transcrestal sinus lift 3,000 MDL per implant, or with augmentation from 5,000 MDL.
  • A tooth that must be extracted first — from 500 MDL, depending on difficulty.
  • A temporary crown on the implant for front teeth, so you are never without a tooth while healing: 2,500 MDL.
  • Inflamed gums or periodontal disease — treated before the implant, otherwise the risk of failure rises.

Several missing teeth: Fast & Fixed

For patients with no teeth, or badly damaged teeth on one arch, Fast & Fixed means 4 or 6 implants and a fixed prosthesis instead of a removable denture. The fixed temporary prosthesis costs 15,000 MDL on 4 implants or 17,000 MDL on 6. The final prosthesis on 4 implants costs 28,000 MDL (metal-ceramic) or 41,000 MDL (zirconia-composite), and on 6 implants 34,000 and 55,000 MDL respectively. Implant placement is added to these.

5 questions to ask before you choose

  • Which implant brand do you use, and from which country? A well-known system means parts are still available in 10 years.
  • Does the price include the crown and the connecting part, or only the implant?
  • Will I get a written treatment plan with every step and its cost?
  • Who performs the surgery, and how many implants do they usually place?
  • What happens if the implant does not integrate? What do the follow-up check-ups look like?
"A good implant shows after 10 years, not on the day you pay for it. The lowest advertised price is not necessarily the lowest price you end up paying."

How long it takes

Placing one implant usually takes under an hour, under local anesthesia. Then come 2–4 months of healing while the bone integrates with the implant. After that we take an impression and fit the crown. In total, from placement to final crown usually takes 3–5 months.

Conclusion

A complete implant with a crown at Avicenna starts at around 8,700 MDL for a simple case. The exact amount depends on the bone, the crown material and what is needed beforehand.
