Preventive Care
The best investment for your smile — prevention.
Preventive dentistry covers all procedures that keep your teeth and gums healthy long-term: professional hygiene, sealing, fluoride treatment, whitening and regular check-ups. The cost of a preventive visit every 6 months is many times lower than the treatments it prevents.
When is it necessary
-
Every 6 months — as a healthy hygiene habit at any age
-
When you notice bleeding gums or metallic taste
-
If you smoke or drink a lot of coffee/tea/wine and develop stains
-
Before and after orthodontic treatment
-
During pregnancy — gingivitis control is essential
-
For children, after the first permanent teeth erupt — sealing
Why choose this treatment
Prevent cavities
Professional hygiene removes plaque from areas unreachable by a toothbrush — exactly where cavities form.
Healthy gums
Subgingival tartar removal prevents gingivitis and periodontitis — the #1 cause of tooth loss in adults.
Fresh breath
Chronic bad breath disappears immediately after a complete professional cleaning.
Bright smile
Coffee, tea, wine and tobacco stains are removed completely, without harming enamel.
Reduced costs
A preventive visit costs tens of times less than treating advanced cavities or periodontitis.
Peace of mind
Early diagnosis of any issue happens in the office, before it becomes painful.
How it works
Step by step, everything clearly explained.
- 1
Examination and diagnosis
Thorough check of every tooth and gum. We discuss your hygiene habits.
- 2
Ultrasonic scaling
Remove tartar from all tooth surfaces, including subgingival, with ultrasonic vibrations that don't affect enamel.
- 3
Air-Flow
Fine bicarbonate spray that removes stains and soft deposits from every crevice. Cool sensation, painless.
- 4
Professional polishing
Rotating cup and special paste polish tooth surfaces, keeping them clean longer.
- 5
Fluoride application
Fluoride gel strengthens enamel and prevents cavities for the next 6 months.
- 6
Personalized hygiene plan
We recommend the right toothbrush, paste, floss and brushing technique for you.

After cleaning
No recovery needed — resume normal activities immediately. Avoid coffee, tea, red wine and tobacco for 24 hours to maximize the stain-removal effect.
Questions about preventive care
01 How long does professional cleaning take?
Usually 45-60 minutes depending on tartar amount. Regular patients have shorter visits.
02 Does scaling hurt?
The procedure is generally comfortable. Mild vibration is normal. For high sensitivity, we use local anesthesia.
03 How often should I have cleaning?
Most people: every 6 months. Smokers or patients with crowns: every 3-4 months.
04 Does cleaning damage tooth enamel?
No. Modern ultrasonic and Air-Flow technology removes only deposits, not healthy enamel.
05 My teeth feel sensitive after cleaning. Is that normal?
Yes — mild sensitivity for 1-3 days is normal, especially after a long break. It resolves on its own.
